I am sorry folks, but I don't usually tend to use profanity, but this really
did it to me. This is a bunch of crap.
This man is smart, he knows how to get to people, draw out their money and
talk about God. The Golden Lamb perhaps. What goes around comes around and I
am convinced that some day he will pay his dues starting with burning his
lil' ol' tootsies.

Hunte feels strongly that there is a difference between animal
rights and animal welfare. "Animals don't have rights," he said. "They do
deserve to be provided and cared for, but nowhere in the Bible does it say
that animals have rights, and that's the book I operate by."
Indeed, it is Hunte's spiritual conviction that has set the tone
for his business success and growth. "I got saved in 1991 just as I was
beginning to build this company," he explained. "I was 47 years old and
delivered from smoking. It came on a night that I thought I might die from
bronchial pneumonia and I asked God to help me give up this habit. The need
was taken from me and within three days the desire for a cigarette was gone
and I had no withdrawal problems at all. I knew then that God did exist."
Hunte decided to invite God to be a part of his latest business
venture. "I never in my wildest dreams knew what God had in mind. There
was no one else to follow or model ourselves after, except God." So how did
it happen? "We did it by trial and error. We established criteria that we
would use when we would accept a puppy to sell. We hung on by the seat of
our pants and just went for it."
Gina Hunte smiles and adds, "We also had our previous experience
of running pet stores and knowing what customers wanted. We knew what we
wanted them to experience when they came in the store and we began to create
that in our own way." Andrew agrees and acknowledges his wife's work, "she
was the top salesperson and was out on the floor talking to the customers.
She was able to inform the staff as to what the needs were and created the
ways to meet those needs." Today Gina oversees all aspects of the financial
dealings with the company and other family members are on staff as well.
The company's motto is Doing What's Right. "That requires some
hard decisions," said Andrew Hunte. "You have to ask 'what would Jesus do'
for the puppies, our customers, our breeders, the finances and our
employees." It's a mission that drives the Huntes daily to fulfill.
