Evan your points are well taken Your right..I can go to UKC..I can go to
any other number of registries..and there in lies the problem with the
AKC..it is that very attitude "if you don't like it ..lump it" that is
driving others to different registries.The AKC may still be the top
registry..but competition is nipping at their heels. Partnering with
Hunte..or adding mixed breeds is not the solution. As stated..how about
being a registry that actually quality controls? Perhaps the AKC needs a
Breeders Code of their own that breeder's sign and adhere to. This would
add to the integrity of their organization. Perhaps those who don't have a
show record would pay a higher fee for registering litters..and those who
promote the sport by showing could have a reduced fee. Since part of the
argument is that many individuals don't register litters..perhaps a blanket
fee can be paid by breeders to individually register each puppy in the
litter..this can be passed on to the buyer. there are more creative
solutions..that is why some of these idiots get paid 6 figures..to come up
with more creative solutions. Ideas that are better than partnering with
Hunte..and allowing mix breeds in perf. competions.Christine
