Any of us that got into this Breed because we LOVE the Breed .....will likely
ever leave it.

nly own a Germans Shepherd Dog....and DEFINITELY will only breed and exhibit

e started because I loved the dogs and the Breed .......had a litter or

oined a Club...and was hooked. We'll always be "hooked".......but won't

eople ....or dogs ......or losing .......or winning......and certainly not
ecause of any Board.
e all suffer through something. We've all lost dogs we love, friends we
ove and our own youth
nd health.......but we love the Breed, the dogs, the competition, the people,

hepherd Dogs and

I have watched this thread with interest. I don't know why anyone has to quit
nything.
I used to be a Cub Scout. I used to be in high-school. I used to drive a 1950
ldsmobile
onvertible. I used to be single, I used to be young. I used to watch black
nd white television and listen to Innersanctum on the radio.
ut, I don't do those things anymore, and I never gave them up. I just moved on
o other things.
he sport of dogs is and always has been interesting, frustrating, tough,
hallenging, and
ullfilling. At times we win, and at times we don't. All hobbies and sports are
ike that. Those
hat give you a win, keep you there, and those that don't, lose their allure.
n bowling at some time you bowl a perfect game. In golf you will eventually
it a hole-in-one.
n bridge you will at some point if you keep at it, have a grand slam. And in
ogs you will finish
champion at some time. In all of those hobbies, you will have ups and downs,
ut so long
s the ups outweigh the downs, you will continue.
n the end the memories and the friends sustain us. The dogs come and go, and
ver the years
hey all become memories. But the people I have met, the friends I have made,
he memories of
those who have gone on without me, all remind me of how great a sport it is,
nd has been.

ar tremendous fun. When it is not, I won't give up, I will just move on.
