One can look at the pricing for Del Mar Fair Grounds and see that it is
cost prohibitive. The hotel which across the street has been sold ( I think
it's in the Hilton family) and I have heard they now allow dogs.
Only problem there isn't any place to hold a "C" trial for herding unless
they go to the Polo Grounds down the street a couple of miles. The issue
there is sheep management.
There is an all breed club that holds its shows there.
It's my favorite also.

I actually don't understand the problem with finding sites in the West???
We have had three successful sites that worked before.....Albany, Oregon,
Salt Lake City are in Utah and Colorado.
Did those sites get demolished or something? Why not use the same ones
instead
of looking for new ones that are unknown......?
At least the Parent Club would know what they are getting into with any of
those
three without sending the troops out to investigate and try to work out a
'new'

back..........
and I think Patty Korsch has stayed in touch with the people in Colorado
at that site.

I know the Pomona Fair Grounds would work, but I don't know about the
costs. I know Sam Israel worked on it for the Beverly Hills club, maybe he
could help.
I also know the Riverside Fair Grounds would work.
I will see if I can figure it out,but we need someone who doesn't work 12
hour days and seven days a week.
Do we know anyone who is retired who could do this? Maybe someone who
used to be a teacher, and if possible a person who worked as a parole or
probation officer. Then, if they knew how to post to the List, that would
be a bonus.
