[ SHOWGSD-L ] Therapy Dog!

Had such a wonderful time on Wednesday afternoon! Took Spunky (CH Konigin's
Phantom of the Opera, HIT, OFA) to the VA Hospital in Dallas to do his first
"official" tour of duty as an "official" therapy dog. Sheryll with Heart Of
Texas Therapy Dogs and her beautiful collie, Durango met us there. The guys
and gals all loved dogs, and had fun calling them Lassie and Rin-Tin-Tin!
Durango met an old friend on the Hospice wing, that is now unresponsive. He
sat down beside the patient and actually started crying. Amazing how the dogs
react.
Spunky did a great job,totally enjoying his 3 hours of work. What a special
gift he has, and that I've been blessed with to do this work. (Of course, his
grandpa, Jerry Lee was honored at the Nationals in S. Carolina for his therapy
dog work!
