I understand exactly why some may describe certain well moving dogs as "cat like." When I am at Caralon and my black bitch "Fiona" is loose in the back yard, Pat, Scootie, Larry and I sometimes just stop what we are doing and watch her float. The same comment comes from all of us, she looks like a big black cat floating across the yard. I think her color may have something to do with it, but more so is the fact that her movement appears absolutely effortless. I believe it is that effortless float that brings a cat's movement to one's mind.
