Houston to El Paso is also close to 12 hours. I believe distance ("gosh that's a long trip") is reletive. I remember being in TN and hearing someone say that going to Atlanta was a long trip, something like 4 to 6 hours. I thought that was nuts (having just moved from San Antonio to middle TN) because to me 6 hours was San Antonio to Dallas, and thus, no big deal. I guess it has something to do with crossing state lines <shruggs> that makes it a "long trip".
