[ SHOWGSD-L ] The last mile

So here we are, on the last stretch of this latest adventure.
Everybody is home this weekend, helping finish the packing and taking their
stuff back to their homes and apartments. The truck will be here right after
I get home from the National and off we are. The biggest challenge is the
books. Boy, we have tons of books. I am not moving as fast as I wanted, I
get
easily distracted around books, specially all the old Reviews (from 1959).
I was watching TJ and Tania and Bunny enjoying what I am sure they think is
a family reunion, and as usual it is all about them. It is hilarious to see
them playing with the kids, pulling stuff out of boxes, and making it all a
big game.
With TJ about to be 10 (in 10 days) it made me realize that any future dogs
will be missing out on this. The kids. The fact that TJ is going to be 10 is
not lost on my kids, who completely spoil him when they are home. Is there
such a thing as a dog knowing better and throwing tantrums? Yes, I can tell
you that does happen. And Tania and Bunny are figuring out the ups of being
silly. It is madness.....but I wouldn't change it for anything.
I'll see you all in St Louis, and for those who are going to stay home,
check the blog. It will take you there.
