Luke had given 11 years of his life to his family. He knew his job and did it 
well. Wash the babies faces, greet the guests and protect his family with his 
life if need be.
Luke's family brought him to a boarding kennel, while they went on what was to 
be a 
permanent "vacation"....Luke was all wags and kisses when they put him in the 
kennel run;
he turned to look at them walking away; confused and bewildered in his cage. 
He has been waiting patiently for the return of his family that will not come. 
The boarding kennel has had him legally declared "abandoned"....and Luke is 
fast loosing hope. Who would want this elder boy; his face grey and his eyes 
clouded with the years? 
This is not the first I have heard of people abandoning dogs...Sandy Lindsay 
contacted us to tell me of a dog who was abandoned at a groomer...Fortunately, 
that dog was able to find a forever home. 
Can you be Luke's Christmas Miracle? Luke's eyes tell a story of hope...If you 
have room in your heart this Holiday season, please consider offering "the 
least of these" a quiet corner, a soft bed and the warmth of a human caress  
once more. 
The boarding kennel does not feel that Luke should remain there 
indefinitely...they feel that he is becoming desolate and it would be unfair. 
His clock is ticking...
