You are more tolerant than I am, Flower Boy. I dislike being told what to
do, when to to do it and how. We are ALL passionate about our dogs and the
different venues where we participate. I am interested in breed and
herding; do I think that everybody should jump on the herding bandwagon?
NO. And just because I choose not to comment or cross myself three times
doesn't mean I don't care about GSDs. Yes, the youngsters are the future;
perhaps they should experience the here and now, read and study
pedigrees--the complaining is getting old. WHY are entries declining? It
is the way of the world. People's interests are more diverse, many are
unwilling to be students of the breed, and many want instant gratification:
If they don't win immediately ( due to having an inferior dog, poor
sportsmanship, e.g. all) they go elsewhere. Showing dogs IS (and always
has been) expensive. It's been that way since I joined the game in the 70s.

score. Sarah has a passion about this dog thing that may be different, we
hear from her from time to time and she always speaks her mind and most of
the time it causes different responses! Most of us here are old goats,
Sarah and a few others out there, Jeff Pyle etc are the future. If they
decide to change this breed and the sport so be it! Ed Hill
