Anyone breeding white now knew when the started their breeding program that
they were breeding dogs that are considered a disqualifying fault. If they
choose to do so that is their right but after 45 years of being a DQ why should
the GSDCA alter the standard to accommodate what they choose to breed. What
throws me for a loop is I believe that most of the people on that committee
headed by Bart Bartly are AKC judges I think they are suppose to judge the GSD
according to the standard. They are to uphold the standard not try to change
it to accommodate any special interest group. Maybe we should start a new
class for dogs with missing teeth, we seem to be having a bunch of those
lately. Or maybe the Strong in heart but soft in ears class
The standard is the blue print for the breed the club members voted 45 years
ago on this issue. It will take a 2/3rds vote to change it. Vote!
