Thanks Kathy, for showing the prices between the WDA magazine and The
Review. I would add one more thing: I liked the SIZE of the old
Review; it was smaller and more distinctive. At the time, I was told
that this new, bigger size would bring in MORE advertisers--well, THAT
hasn't happened.
My suggestions:
1. Reduce the size of The Review.
2. Lower the price of black and white ads to $70.
3. Keep the color ads (if you must) so that there won't be complaints
about "a reduction in quality."
4. Have monthly "specials" (ie stud issue, bitch issue, upcoming
stars, new champions, performance, etc) with a reduced price for ads.
Maybe that could be done every second month, thus having 6 "specials"
a year.
5. Keep the Review at 12 issues--everyone I talk to IN THE MEMBERSHIP
wants a Review EVERY month.
6. Accept more articles for publication.
Lastly, this magazine is for the membership; but for quite awhile it
hasn't seemed like it is. Is it the ads, lack of substantial
articles? I don't know. Also, everything I've said is NOT a
reflection on Susan Casey's job as editor. I feel she does a good job
with what she has.

Please I would like an explanation here. I have brought this up to
principle
parties and I get, "I don't know why?..."
And we are supposedly getting a good deal on the printing? how?
Why do we pay so much more/??
Ridiculous. If we can't get answers then why doesn't the PC contact
the WDA
and ask advice on how to do this?
