Hi All -
Just a quick post about my trip to Atlanta this last weekend. Many of you
remember my not so positive experience with Delta and shipping the Dalmatian
girl. Well as fate would have it, we decided to head down to Atlanta for 4
shows this past weekend and well, there was a reason Penny couldn't get on that
Delta flight back to Virginia.
Penny is my BIF bitch and she finished with two specialty 5 point majors and 3
BOS over bitch specials along the way. The day after she finished, she picked
up 4 points on her grand and the following weekend picked up another 6 points.
So we decided to attempt the Grand CH this year and we did it in style.
At the tender age of 17 months (the youngest special by far), Penny was Select
at the Atlanta Dal Specialty (18 specials). BOS the following day (15 Specials)
and to top off the weekend, picked up back to back breeds over 15 specials each
day too finish her GrCh in style... She ended up with 3 five point majors, 2
four point majors and a three point major (and a couple of singles) and
finished her title in 8 straight shows.
The best part though - along the way, we beat the #1 Dalmatian, the #4
Dalmatian and the #7 Dalmatian - ALL with professional handlers and lots of
advertising dollars behind them.
Penny is home for the winter, but she will be back in the Spring. And her big
sister Pauli who picked up her first BIS in September, better look out (but I
do co-own both girls)...
Enough bragging and back to reality (laundry is waiting for me at home!).
