Rin Tin Tin, the eighth in a legacy of famed canines, died on Thursday, =
June
14 at age 12 =BD at his home, El Rancho Rin Tin Tin, in Crockett, Texas. =

Rin Tin Tin VIII delighted audiences in Texas, Arizona, Oregon, =
Colorado,
Wisconsin, California, Illinois, and Florida during a 10-month tour June
1999-April 2000. In addition, he presented Responsible Dog Ownership
Programs to more than 5,000 elementary school students in the mid-1990s.
Most recently starred in the documentary, Rin Tin Tin, A Living Legacy,
produced by Kendra Waters and Azure Towers Productions that chronicles =
the
89-year history of the famed lineage.

Rin Tin Tin VIII assumed the position of Rin Tin Tin following the death =
of
his grandfather, Rin Tin Tin VII and will be succeeded by his Grandson, =
Rin
Tin Tin X.

"Words simply cannot describe the magnitude of our loss. Rin VIII was =
the
most magnificent representative of the Rin Tin Tin lineage anyone could
imagine. It was my honor to have had the opportunity to be part of his
life,=94 said Miss Daphne Hereford, Rin Tin Tin owner/breeder.

Miss Hereford's family has maintained the Rin Tin Tin lineage since 1957 =
and
she has been directly involved with and owned six Rin Tin Tins; Rin Tin =
Tin
V =96 Rin Tin Tin X.

Through the commitment of Co-Breeders Tommy and Jan Hall, the legacy =
will
continue for future generations. Rin Tin Tin VIII sired 12 litters of
puppies during his life, and a new generation of Rin Tin Tin line dogs =
is
due from his daughter, Rin Tin Tins Celestial on June 22, 2007.

Rin Tin Tin Co-Breeder Jan Hall said, =93Our grief for Rin will last =
forever.
He was truly remarkable in every aspect. Through his progeny There Will
Always Be A Rin Tin Tin.=94

The original Rin Tin Tin was found in a bombed German War Dog Kennel in
Lorraine, France during World War I by Cpl. Lee Duncan. Duncan rescued =
Rin
Tin Tin and his mother Betty des Flanders and four siblings on Sept. 15,
1918. Ironically, Rin Tin Tin would be the only puppy to survive from =
the
litter.

Cpl. Duncan returned to his home in Los Angeles, Calif. with Rin Tin Tin =
at
the end of the war and the original Rin Tin Tin starred in 26 movies =
before
his death on Aug. 10, 1932. Duncan died in September 1960, but the Rin =
Tin
Tin legacy has lived on through Miss Hereford=92s efforts and carefully
monitored breeding program.=20

Rin Tin Tin II and Rin Tin Tin IV starred in the 1950s series, the
Adventures of Rin Tin Tin. The next film to star Rin Tin Tin was =
produced in
2006, Rin Tin Tin, A Living Legacy, and starred Rin Tin Tin VIII.

In a private ceremony, Rin Tin Tin VIII was buried at El Ranch Rin Tin =
Tin.=20
