I got tired of the Owner, the General manager, and I hated the former coach,
the dis function and the 12 years of losing! I'm still a Raider Fan ( it's in
my DNA) I want them to do well, I just dont want to make an emotional
investment of time or money( tickets to games).... My son says this year will
be different ( when pigs fly)... The GSDCA? Love it to death, been a member
off an on since the late 70's. Even ran for the board about 15 years or so
ago. Two years ago I decided the direction of the club was something that I
strongly disagreed with so I decided a divorce was necessary! Didn't mean I
no longer loved the club( I still love my two ex-wives and they know it) .
When things don't work and you believe they can not or will not get fixed, ya
move on! A very loving club member, a person I have never met in person,
decided that my "marriage" with the GSDCA would continue for two more years!
My attitudes and feelings about the club have NOT changed even though I still
love the club and being a member of it! I don't think my strong differences
with how I believe "our" club should operate , will ever change, so the
intelligent thing is to move on, a personal decision that many former club
members have already made. Ed Hill
