[ SHOWGSD-L ] The National atmosphere

Hi Gang
Knowing our friends are for the moment "tucked away" from the fires...I have
to tell you that I have seldom see more sportsmanship
at the Nationals than this year. Now those of you that know me (Southern
raised) know I did a whole lot of hugging , kissing and
handshaking.....with friends and online friends, and some even not always
friends......and it felt DAMN GOOD.
I loved meeting the people that I only chat with online. I loved hugging
friends that I only see at a National.....Lee Parkhurst, Bob Braue, Tom
Mesdag, Lenny Brown...to name a very, very few. It didn't seem that
politcal siding was an issue, just good sportsmanship, and
people and their dogs....it was great. (Aside from the legal servicing we
are talking about the membership here) I loved the name tags
NATIONALS NOT LAWSUITS......I loved the camaraderie, from
EVERYONE.....regardless of "sides". Our club will be okay...the
membership just needs to step in and say..."enough". HUGE
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF THE WINNERS. THANK YOU TO THE RANCH, AND TO THE
AMAZING LOCAL CLUBS, TO EVERYONE THAT PUT DIFFERENCES ASIDE, AND LET THE
SPORT OF DOGSHOWING AND THE LOVE OF A GOOD TIME TAKE OVER. BRAVO.
