Tish - I like the futurities and the idea that started it, even though I
have not attended many - just not the huge expense involved in actually
exhibiting the animal there. It makes it very difficult to do what the system
was
originally meant to do - showcase littermates. I have nominated litters over
the years, just not been able to show dogs then - or at least not more than
one. And unless you have the name to place show dogs with homes other than
yourself - well you have to make a tough choice sometimes - spend the money on
the futurity, or spend the same amount on a 2-3 day cluster of point shows.
