[ SHOWGSD-L ] The German Shorthair, & BIS Ribbon Color?

WOW!!!
That self-stack Carlee threw out there could have come from our standard -
"The look of Eagles" - GSD or not! My husband and I both had our little
notebooks jotting down "our" favorites - always fun to play "judge" from
outside the
ring.
Does anyone know why the BIS ribbon is purple & gold?
