IMO, the sad thing is watching/listening to the spectators clap & yell
for a "racing" dog that actually takes smallish but very quick steps. They
often seem to find the correctly moving dog (covering the maximum
amount of ground with the minimum number of steps) "boring". However,
this is the gait that can be sustained for long periods of time - the racer
will tire quickly. And, as pointed out in an earlier post - the quick moving
racer could never calmly move the sheep. Obviously, JMO
