I attended the GSDC of North Georgia Match today. While clubs are folding due
to lack of members and participation, other clubs are working hard at obtaining
their goals.
My Kudos to the GSDC of N GA. They have a true interest in the breed and team
spirit that will no doubt make them thrive to become a club of the future. At
a match today, it was nothing short of fun. The exhibitors were supportive of
every junior handler and match entry shown. This fun atmosphere is a perfect
example of a few hard working individuals who make things happen.
The GSDC of North Georgia is a club dedicated to having fun and getting your
dogs out. I would not dare name a few folks who pulled the show off, for fear
of forgetting the behind the scenes hard working club members who collectively
make things happen.
A large grassy ring, great food, a supportive environment, and a fun group of
dog people who are focused on making things happen. This club understands that
dog shows are about enjoying your dog, everything else will fall into place.
Congrats to this young club for sponsoring such a great fun day. Is that not
what dog shows are about?
In a day and age where clubs are fighting for entries and support, I commend
all the dedicated people within local clubs who put their heart and soul into a
local effort. These "grass root" campaigns are crucial to the future of our
breed.
Congratulations to The GSDC of North Georgia for sponsoring a local event and
doing this was such sparkle. These events are critical to the future of
showing dogs.
