[ SHOWGSD-L ] The Crowd is Always WRONG!

Thought out recorded history, when it comes to the subject of social change,
achievement, and progress this one idea holds true:"The crowd is always
wrong"....what the hell am I talking about now you ask...I'll tell ya!...I just
got home from attending two of the three Chicago shows ( more about that in
another post). I must say several folks backed me against the wall ( one
literally did this...lol) about my constant touting for a National in Utah.
These were all nice people and I am sure they all have their own ides about
where the National should be held. One person even thought I would be upset if
the National did not go to Utah. This is not so. I am more passionate about
where I think the National should NOT go!...and that's any state that touches
an ocean ( with the exception of Georgia) I have said many times that If I were
the Lion King the National would be centrally located and held at the same
place and the same time EVERY YEAR. We know this will never happen, and once
again the crowd is wrong. So as much as I love Utah and as much as I know this
would be a great place for the National for the membership as a WHOLE, If Utah
does not get the 2007 National that's fine, but I hope it does not go to
California, Oregon, Florida, or any other coast state. I have no problem with
Denver, KC, St Louis, Texas. Our club belongs to all its members, but the "Big
18" is placed in a position of authority by US to work in the best interest of
the club as a WHOLE. Their decisions are not always popular, and where ever the
National is placed some members will not be happy, and once again....the crowd
is wrong!...this will be my last public comment on this subject...unless I
