How right you are Ed. I had a co-worker who was coming home from France
and was one of those redirected to Canada instead of landing in New York.
He was amazed at the hospitality they received. The small town where the
US planes landed opened their hearts of those on the planes. They fed
them, gave them places to sleep, gave them internet access that allowed
them to tell their families they were all right. We still owe them a debt
of gratitude for what they did.
