I was at a friends last night playing with her puppies and she pulled out a
large brown book that she had gotten from her mentor years before full of
pedigrees on ring binding. The pages were split into two halves, dogs on top,
bitches on bottom, so you could flip to the page you wanted for the dog and
match it up to the bitch. It seems this particular book was from around 1980.
From the order forms in this book it looks like you could submit your dogs
pedigree and pic for $50 to be added to the book and even order additional
pages of your dog. I assume you bought the base book and then added the pages
as they became available.
Can anyone tell me more about this book. How long was this printed? I've
never heard of it before (or maybe I have but didnt' know what it was). What a
wonderful piece of history of the breed. If anyone has one and wants to part
with it...let me know...I'd happily buy it from you.
