meetings, two in Utah, one in Los Angeles, ran for Director once about 13
or so years ago ( soundly defeated) . I have no doubt that working in
office for the membership and the advancement of our noble breed is
challenging, exhausting, and many times thankless. I also have no doubt
that the membership in general feels a disconnect with the board and many
of it's acts and decisions! And this has been going on for decades! The
membership has no voice, communication between the membership and the board
is poor, there was a time when board members were encouraged NOT to be on
or participate in discussions on this list! This was told to me my a former
Board member? In defense of the board( and defending the board is NOT the
purpose of this message) they generally do an effective job, I don't
believe this club will move effectively into the future the way we
currently do business electing the same recycled names year after year
after year! One of the reasons our federal government is broken is because
of the lack of term limits in congress, Cincinnatus, a great Roman dictator
served his time during the great Roman Empire and voluntary stepped down
when he accomplished his mission to let others rule! ( sorry for the
politics reference Stormy) we disenfranchise members when the feel ignored,
they eventually leave ( except me, thanks again Penny!) ..... Doesn't have
to be this way..... And there is a simple fix! If you hated everything I
said blame Penny Kroh! I'm here at her pleasure ! Make somebody laugh
