I pay $50 per YEAR for Harley's city dog license.  Charlotte-Jo's is $18 every 
THREE years.  I will pay and obey the law, even though I am a bit of an 
anarchist and a firm believer in civil disobedience; I will not allow my 
political beliefs to risk my dog's welfare, such as being picked up by Animal 
Control. Not being a retired cop, I don't have the luxury of receiving "special 
treatment" from local authorities!

And how many of you "hide" your dogs from licensing authorities?   
(shhh, nobody will tell!)  At one point (and REALLY because I didn't  
know any better) I had 17 live animals on my property and nary a  
license.

I figured if I moved to the country, minded my own business, and we  
didn't bother the neighborhood, that was enough.  The (2) dogs were  
licensed when I lived in the city.  I think with the horrible cost of  
licensing an intact dog in L.A.City or County, I would go underground  
now, though.
