we have had money as prizes at some shows here and the money seems to
increase the entries?
for me it makes no difference as the handler gets the prize money anyway?

Okay I have to be real careful with this post.....one of the most
mis-quoted scriptures in this most holy book is when folks say "Money is the
root ( no Paul intended) of all evil".....well...it should be spoken "THE
LOVE OF MONEY IS THE Root OF ALL EVIL"...I cringe when I see shows that
offer money as prizes...one of the big all breed shows recently gave away
big money to the best of show winner...why is a blue ribbon, and/or a trophy
or what ever not enough?...the thrill of the win, the excitement of the
competition...seems to me this is falling by the wayside...much as I hate to
admit it we are fallible human creatures, we are all tempted by different
things, money being "right" ( homophone to "write"..lol) there at the top of
the list for many of us..is giving away money at shows going to make our
shows more honest or less?.....you just need to hold on one more week, and
the list will be safe until June!.....lol.......Ed Hill
