Scootie wants to give you all a heads up that no matter how diligent you are
with your preventatives, you need to check your tick titers as it can happen

My sincere condolences to all. He was a lovely dog.

Just a note.... there is no "preventative" against Tick Fever
(Ehrlichiosis).... even tick repellants are not 100 %, and there is no vaccine
for Tick
Fever.

I have LOTS and LOTS of experience with both Tick Fever and Valley Fever,
and have lost dogs to both.
