He was a lovely dog. Just a note.... there is no "preventative" against Tick Fever (Ehrlichiosis).... even tick repellants are not 100 %, and there is no vaccine for Tick Fever. I have LOTS and LOTS of experience with both Tick Fever and Valley Fever, and have lost dogs to both.
