The Belgian Sheepdog, Belgian Malinois, Belgian Tervuran, and the Belgian Lackinois are all the same breed, just different varieties. In America, the AKC made them separate. In other countries, they are still the same breed. Mals are frequently mistaken for GSD's by the general public. The Malinois is a short coat and I have only seen one black.? They are generally tan with blk tips.? The Belgian Tervern is a long coated breed but also tan with some black in the outer coat.? The Belgian Shepherd is a black, long coated dog and sometimes confused with a flat coat retriever.? At any rate, their body types couldn't be more different.? Just some useless info stored in my head :-) Laura ============================================================================ POST is Copyrighted 2009.
