First of all, being new doesn't mean you don't have great ideas.
I would love more than anything else, (other than to get to argue before
the United States Supreme Court), to go back in the ring to show my own
dogs. That was and is my first love in German shepherds.
I am 75 years old, (or will be in a month). My wife if 49 years is 73, and
she won't to in the ring. So, I am stuck using handlers.
But, I agree that the original intent of the Futurities is changed. I
remember seeing four and five puppies from a breeding in the Futurity rings,
but those are the olden days.
We don't have sock hops, we don't put glass pack mufflers on our cars, we
don't cruise the square on 25 cent gasoline, and we don't wear our hair in
a duck cut. Or, most of us don't.
Times change.
Deal with it.
