Thanks to all who responded. My initial thought when I was told that breeding sable to sable would produce more health concerns was "huh?!" as well. I said to the woman that I had never heard of such a thing, and that sable was the original color of the breed, but then she told me to go look it up, so I shut my mouth about it. I almost didn't even post the question because I knew she wasn't right and that I'd probably get laughed at for even humoring her, but I wanted to find some hard proof to give her back that she was wrong, the next time I see her.
