On the eve of Thanksgiving, while I wait for a brown butter apple pie to get done baking, I found myself thinking about all the things I am thankful for....First, my beautiful daughter who shares my obsession for German Shepherd Dogs. My sweet grandchildren, the best puppy socializers in the world. My son-in-law Chris, who puts up with our dog craziness. My sisters, and brothers, and all my family, who enjoy good health. All the wonderful dog friends I have made a true part of my family through the years. The memories of my first C.D. dog, who earned her title in spite of her handler. The joy of finishing her son, our first homebred Champion. That time was also holds bittersweet memories, as my dearest friend was then valiantly fighting Leukemia... Finding loving homes for her dogs when she lost that fight. All the late nights whelping pups, and hoping each time for that elusive "STAR."So many years of wonderful memories, and hope for the future. That's a lot to be thankful for.My cup runneth over. Happy Thanksgiving To All. Marcia Hadley Black Oak Shepherds ============================================================================ POST is Copyrighted 2004.
