just one comment...the judge's opinion, yes...but it is also an AKC rule
that a dog that bites or attempts to do so MUST BE DISQUALIFIED. No room
for opinion there...........the dog must be DQ'd on the spot. There are
forms to fill out when that happens, too, so the dog can't be shown
again.......... I understand the dog was excused the next day for "trying"
again...is that so? If so, was he DQ'd then, or simply excused?
There is a difference, and AKC makes that very
clear.
It's fine for a judge to overlook it...for that judge...but not for
judges who are asked to judge the dog on later days..........that's why the
rule was changed from "three times and out to ONE time........" No opinion
allowed.
