I agree here. I had a GSD that had a very strong prey drive but was friendly to everyone. He took protection training like a game and loved to get the sleeve and "kill" it but then loved to be petted for his success in getting the "prize". He knew the command words and could easily take down a perpetrator but never would think of bothering a friendly person. And he loved kids. He would kill chickens in a heartbeat though and would have had sheep for lunch if allowed. He'd herd them fine but was too hard. He would have learned but I figured i didn't need to be paying for maimed sheep in the meantime while he learned.
