[ SHOWGSD-L ] Tell me what I said

I was judging one show. After I picked the winner's bitch, and before
specials, a top handler came up to me and said, "That is the worst job of
judging
I have ever seen."
I laughed, and said, "Wait until I finish, you may see even more."
The passion of some handlers has to be understood, and as a judge it is my
job to accept an opinion and not take it seriously, not get offended, and wait
for some of the emotions to settle. That same handler was a good friend of
mine before that show, and remains so ever since. I still chuckle about it,
and understand that everyone has the right to an opinion. Besides, he said it
in private.
I suppose some might think a judge should call a show committee on an event
such as this. But, we all say things at time, that we wish we had never said.
Allow someone a chance to think, and never react in the ring.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.
