Didn't mean for it to sound like holding dog shows was the only purpose...it
can be one of several things listed under purpose....Usually the "purpose
category" starts with something about promotion and protection of the
breed... or pure bred dogs if it's an all breed club.

Usually the by-laws should include the promotion of ownership of dogs
(GSDs, whatever) and some other stuff. If "holding dog shows" is
their purpose, what happens if they can't hold dog shows for a while
due to many factors. The more general (vague LOL) the purpose is, the
better.
GSDCA is now a c7, but during the last BOD meeting, different "c'
options were discussed. I think that decision went to one of the
committees:-) to bring back to the BOD.
