According to several vets I have spoken with and page 212 of KVpet
catalogue, the only effective tape wormer for dipylidium is praziquantel.
Panacur,
is fenbendazole and will NOT kill tapeworms (dipylidium) that are acquired
from fleas. It will however, kill tapeworms (taenia) acquired from eating
rodents and rabbits. Panacur is effective on roundworms, hookworms and
whipworms.
