Teona suggested I let everyone know what brand of dishwasher we had. It
was a GE. I'm not sure of the model but Bob found it on the internet. We
went
down to Lake Anna yesterday and our son was there with his fiance. Lisa
owns a house in Charlotte, NC and she said when she bought the house the home
inspector told her there was a recall on the dishwasher (it was a GE) and GE
gave her a couple hundred off a new one. Our model was evidently not recalled
until 2007 which was at least a year and a half after we bought the house.
Anyway, moral of the story is - don't go off and leave your appliances
running. Accidents can happen very rapidly.
