Yeah.......and wanting to conserve "the uniformity of the breed" meant they
should ALL have a roach back,
short neck with a long upper arm and short shoulder blade and cow-hocks. <G>

SV "It was up to the SV, whose breeders were already supplying animals
throughout the world, to strengthen the links with associations in other
countries. In 1968, the Association introduced an initiative that firstly aimed
to promote international co-operation in all fields, and secondly aimed to
conserve the uniformity of the breed. For the time being, its objective was to
form a Europe-wide union of the associations in the neighbouring countries."

The GSDCA Has for over 100 years been a member of the SV and is the only
voting member
(wDA was never a voting member)
Until the 80s, IPO was an integral part of the GSDCA - a performance event
just like Obedience,
Agility, Herding and Rally - when the AKC said NO Club can be associated with
bitework
So the GSDCA-WDA was born. Now, we can have bite work again so welcome HOME
IPO.
Our President has ALWAYS gone to the sieger show and sat at the meeting to
vote.
The Sieger show in 2015 made 12K. All trophies and awards were totally
sponsored.
You must be a GSDCA member to show in the SV events. They
are members, just like any other performance venue or even the pet owners.
