There is a GSD who is in the Wetzel County Animal shelter in New Martinsville,
W Virginia...I want to warn you....I have never seen a dog in this horrendous
of a condition. He is nothing but a skeleton...and is so contractured in the
rear that he is getting about on his front feet only. How I dont know....The
vet in the shelter said he has a chance. We are waiting for a response from
this shelter and God willing, this poor soul will be heading to Pat's for the
rest of his life. LHSH would appreciate any donations at all to help cover this
poor animals care (I am certain it will be costly....but we CANNOT and WILL NOT
turn our back on him as others have)...THIS is what Last Hope, Safe Haven was
created for...to give hope to those who have none...who are unadoptable.. who
were thrown away by those who were charged to care for them....in whose eyes
you see the pain they have endured.

dog who we have now christened Phoenix...who also rose from the ashes.
