Certainly can go both ways for sure.
I have sold 2 dogs over the years who went into service with the RCMP.
One was a drug dog that went all the way to Resolute for awhile (one of the
more northern communities in Canada). The Inuit were apparently scared to
death of Cajun. He was a tough dog that did not intimidate.
The other was used for high profile hostage situations....he went into
prisons without a handler when there was an uprising. Also took down an armed
suspect in a bank robbery. And yet the officer he lived with said he was
just the best with the family and great with his grandchildren.
Both of those dogs were from lines linked back to Megan of Springrock,
Waltraut's Blackjack, Robinsonway and Waldesruh. They were the foundation way
back of my current line....strong, sound and long long lives.
I have a male here distantly associated to a similar line as Cassie
(Survival in Canada) that has always been my fearless protector. He watches
me
like a hawk and can read every body movement I make. Always feel safe with
Cash around. His full sister was an Can/Am futurity Victrix in 2003.
These dogs are not table ornaments, they can do it all if asked.
