[ SHOWGSD-L ] Support junior handlers!!!

I have been trying to get a web page up on the parent club web site and I have
contacted Bill Pfeiffer ok and have the support of Nancy Mccdonald the juniors
chair to start building it. I just need help in either understanding how the
web page works so that I can do it myself or have a little team who is willing
to help me out. My ideas are to have a section where juniors can post articles
appropriate to the subject of dogs, photos of brags, the top 20 gsd juniors
stats, and add information about the juniors scholarship and the juniors
seminar given at the nationals.
Another idea I had was to give each junior who participates in junior
showmanship at the nationals get a gift bag of some sort encourage the juniors
to compete more in juniors and have a nice junior turn out at the nationals
like we did in St. Louis. The thing about this project is that we need
donations so that we can put together the gifts. I got this idea through the
cardi nationals in May last year. They had an amazing gift bag for each junior
whether they placed or not everyone walked out as a winner with a duffel bag
full, it had a dog brush, a cookie cutter, a blanket with the cardigan welsh
corgi club logo on it, a bag of scented baggies to pick up after the dogs, a
wooden bone cut key chain holder, doggie treates,a note book, and cookies.
That's all i can remember from the bag, but I found it so special that they
went through all that to give each junior a gift.
If anyone is interested in donating money, donating gifts, or helping out with
the juniors web page please let me know as soon as possible!!
