It's another perfect day in California. About 75 with a mild wind, and good
friends. The Guz Tedi and I talked politics for a while. It's more fun if
everyone is a flaming liberal. We did laugh a lot. Paula is sitting with us
now,
and I saw Karen Taylor and talked about what a nice day it is. The Kochs are
here, and Jackie and her husband are dragging crates accross the field.
This is a great location. There is an airport next to the park and all the
fun planes, antiques and private jets are always going over. Liz Leshhorn is
sitting taking to Tedi, and the Freenys are here. They parked in a K-Mart
parking lot, but they have a motorhome, so it was by choice. Ann Thompson is
talking to us now, and I see Sam Isreal is here. I talked briefly to Judy
Goffstein, and she looks great. Bill Tank and Cindy Tellefson are here as is
everyone from yesterday. I see Bob Ghegleri is ring stewarding and I see that
Tracy
Radigan is picking up an arm band. The Colemans are here, and so is Richard
Sottille, and I see that Amy is here to handle again, and she and Grace are
all dressed up. Debbie Kaiser is walking by, and Darlene Gheglerhi is sitting
with us now. Jennifer Root is here, and didn't allow her husband to attend,
and it is just a dissapointment.
I got to talk to Bart for a minute, when did we get so old. He looks great
with the new mustache, and seems so distinguished. I sat for just a bit
with Cindy Bartley and Vivian, Tom stayed home.

We left before Specials and so I didn't get the Veterans or Best Puppy. Liz
called to give me the Breed and Best Opposite Sex.
I got to see Lynn Newton again, and she just never ages. It was another fun
day, but I am beat and ready for a new episode of Fresh Blood. I met a new
judge applicant Bill Evans, and he seems to know what he is looking for.
Politics were in the air, and we avoided them, but we did discuss Saturday
Night
Live. The Colemans had a new puppy that looked like a young star, and Richard
Sottile talked to me a bit. Jack Newton was working the show as hard as can
be, and it all went well. I thought Bart did a great job, he had some good
ones, and he found them. What more can we ask of a judge? He was a great
handler, and is just as good a judge.
I did see Ken and Kathy, but they were working to hard to talk. It was a
good show, and a long ride home.
Now, on to the National.
