Wouldn't euthanizing the dog be a breach of contract? It depends on what the contract says. Often when something is donated to a public use, if the use is changed it is to be given back. I have no idea if that was the contract. If it was a gift to the city, then the city can do with it as it wishes. I do think in a case such as a dog, there should be an agreement that it was to be returned if no longer used, but that would have to be a term of the contract. You can always sue anyone for anything. But, winning is another matter. My jury has reached a verdict on the attempted murder charge, and I am headed to court to see what they thought. My future posts may not be with such good cheer. I do not like to lose.
