[ SHOWGSD-L ] Stud Fees and Inflation

I was flipping through a 1983 Review, and it was interesting see the
stud fees being asked at that time. Considering the inflation rate
has doubled from 1983 to 2007, the current stud fees, for proven
dogs, seem reasonable to me.
Here's a sampling of stud fees from 1983:
GV Mannix: $250
GV Watson: $350
GV Troll: $300
GV Impulse $350
GV Ossipee Ceasar V Clover Acre $250
Finnegan: $300
Prime Time of Billo: $300
Charisma Stonewall Jackson $200
Detroit vom Cypress $200 (temporary fee)
Most of the lesser known dogs had stud fees set at $200.
A couple very young dogs had a $150 stud fee.
The German dogs fees were set at $250.
Wow! What an offering of studs to pick from! I would have loved to
have bred to some of these guys!
