Actually, in the book "The Horse Structure and movement" by George F. Badame, a
very insightful discussion is made regarding the rigidity of the equine spine
as compared to the Greyhound, and ist very informative. He also discusses the
pro and cons of structure and movement.
Obviously, I love reading. :-)
