You make some valid points Molly, and I did not say it had to be totally free.
But to state that someone at home is not an exhibitor is not correct.
There are actually some exhibitors that are NOT going but their dogs are, with
a handler, due to the location and cost prohibiting them to be there
personally. I personally know of 2 people that are doing that, and I'm sure
there are others.
Anyway, it would just be nice to know in correct dollar figures how that money
is allocated, but financial breakdowns are hard to come by these days.

some.The Purina agreement is called "German Shepherd Dog Club of America
National Specialty Sponsorship Agreement" and its stated intention of the
cash stipend is
"to help the club support exhibitor experience through enhanced
hospitality and show services." How does paying for the video do this?
Don't understand the mentality that if you get something for free once it
is expected to be free forever! Once, say thank you. It was a trial to
see how it would work. So what is wrong with paying a bit to watch the show
if you are interested? If you went, it would cost you a few thousand..
The club is not the Bank of America..... it requires resources to
effectively operate.
I don't support the Purina funds being used for this. If you ask for
streaming video, and members of this list asked for it for years. So now you
have it. Pay a little and enjoy the service has been provided for you to stay
home and be included.
