"Overreacted" to what?? A child in it's presence?? When do we need
protection from a child? This is not an overreaction... it is killer
instinct.
To continue to attack against no threat........ is killer instinct.

So many things missing from that "article". Where was dad? What was the
child doing? Has the dog shown aggressive tendencies before?
BTW, I do think euthanasia was the correct choice here. Unless the dog was
in dire trouble (highly improbable in this scenario) the dog severely
overreacted.
