Exactly what would you like changed in the Standard in
regards to the head Theresa??
You know...just because we see less than ideal heads in the
ring does not mean the Standard is incorrect. It just means
there are less than ideal heads occasionally on a great dog.
Just because we see some light eyes...does not mean the
Standard is wrong...or bad feet or weak pasterns or a soft ear.
We cannot change the Standard just because there is less than
perfection in the ring.
Actually....gorgeous heads are one of the easiest parts of the GSD
there is to breed. Forget beautiful shoulders and great backs and
nice croups that all come together in an athletic easy long striding
dogs...( with great feet, ears, eyes, coat, tail, etc....WITH great
temperament and correct croups and loins ) and breed great heads...
that would be the easiest thing there is to do.....<G>
Our Standard is just about perfect the way it is....it needs not
changes or re-wording. PERFECTION is just hard to breed!!

So what is the proposal to change the head? I hope it is to place only GSDs
that represent a correct head. It is clear to me that fast movement whether
correct or not seems to win over the first thing you look at in a dog their
head.
