I must clarify something... The "long coat" class in Europe is for long
"STOCK" coats.. The long Stock coated dog's outer coat is of the same texture
as the normal coated dog. Also, these dogs have an undercoat. A "regular"
long coat, with a soft, open outer coat and no undercoat is still considered a
fault and can not be shown.

I would love to see the GSDCA Board change the standard so the long coat is
no longer a fault. Europe has already made a class for the long coats. I
know we all have seen so many stunning coats. And what a great way to add a
few more numbers at the shows.
