[ SHOWGSD-L ] Standard NOT a moving target

Again the Standard describes correct movement. Faults of movement are
only implicitly defined. It leaves the interpretation of movement and
transmission up to the judge. You began this discussion saying you could
remove
the fault of locked hocks by redefining the Standard. You stated this in
the context of the white GSD issue. Do you propose to change the Standard
to say for instance that a GSD that fails to extend in the hock beyond a
certain angle is a fault or maybe the Standard should say that GSD that can
reach beyond it's nose is a fault? How should the Standard define the lack
of side gait fault?
I got this in response to my proposal to solve the problem of locked hocks
by making the standard require it.
I won't say who sent me this, but it shows the danger of using sarcasm, or
innuendo on this List. We can't see the sly smile, or the nudge on a
joke. It is a clear example of why we need to be careful of what we say in
writing, and not in person.
The Lister who responded with this, missed my point. But, he took time to
respond and had good points. It was my fault to try to make a point and be a
bit obtuse.
I understand not understanding my point, it was hyperbole. But, always
remember that The Big Bang Theory is a slice of real life, and there is some
Leonard in all of us.
